I find that when I need to phone to change a clinic appointment made by return of letter I can never get anyone to answer the phone number on your standard letter! I am luck in as much as I do have a direct line number to the department in question who are always helpfull in rearrange the appointment.I think that if you left the system to the old way where you could make the appointment before you left the hospital and know it as in school holidays or suitable to ones own diary rather than wasting time and phone money having to rearrange appoitment made by yourselfs
