I was transferred to Penrith hospital from Alston to the A and E at Penrith following an accident at work. It was a saturday and the drop in centre was very busy. The departement was working very hard with a variety of complaints including an emergency admission . The stafff were efficient and pleasant . There was only one doctor who did her level best to see everyone. I was transferred from Penrith to Carlisle with the minimum of fuss. I can only say my experience of Penrith hospital is very good
