What I liked
I had to go into A&E to have my hand stitched up after a DIY accident. What I liked is that i was seen by nurse quickly, who was pleasant. Also while waiting for a doc a different nurse kindly found a ham sandwich for my 3 year old daughter to eat, who was hungry (the canteen was shut.). The staff put new gloves on whenever they came to me. I got a tetanus and antibitotics bexuase of the depth of the wound, so pretty comprehensive care. You have to admire the spirit of the staff while working in such a run down environment. Overall I was happy with my treatment, but i was only walking wounded not sure I'd be happy going there for anything more serious.
What could be improved
Cleaning the place and giving it a lick of paint would help! There were some dodgy looking stains on the floors, probably dried blood which should be cleaned up. The glove dispensers should be less exposed, ie the gloves stick out of the box, so reaching for a new pair means you could inadvertantly touch several pairs and transfer bugs onto them. They should dispense one at a time keeping everythng clean inside. Make sure the vending machine works.
