Anything else?
My son was rushed into the new skylark ward for emergency surgery and the treatment and care we received was of the highest order. Whilst the new surroundings are impressive, the caring nature of the staff far exceeds it. From the moment Sam arrived on the ward everyone, without exception, was friendly and supportive towards him. The play specialist talked through every aspect of his care and fired up the playstation 3 in his room. Every part of the procedure was expained in a child friendly manner that didn't patronise and removed any fear of the unknown. Sam was at the heart of the process and was afforded dignity and respect at every turn. After supporting Sam the nurses spoke to us as parents and again were caring and responsive to our questions. This really was a world class experience which made me extremely proud of the NHS!
"Excellent in every regard!"
