"Missed off waiting list twice."

About: The Royal London Hospital

Anything else?

In June 2012 I needed to have a pre-cancerous lump removed from my tongue but was missed off the waiting list twice. The first time, I submitted a formal written complaint to the correct office by recorded post, lost by the hospital. (Followed up by phone call. Woman said she would investigate and phone me back; she didn't). The Prof. said people often mysteriously disappeared from his waiting lists. Lump removed March 2013. Actual waiting time 30 weeks, time on official waiting list 2 days. The balance of my official 18 weeks will help reduce average waiting times in the hospital's statistics. Biopsy showed cells had changed from "mild" to "moderate". Prof. said to phone if anything unusual grew back. Got a nasty 1.5cm white lump growing so called secretary. She said no appointment available until scheduled follow up in June. I said 6 weeks is a long time for cancer. She said she would get a registrar to phone back. Still waiting...
