Essentially we are new to the area and rate Wigan emmensley; Chorley however disappointed emmensly. After 2 visits to the out of hours & one visit to the GP my husband went to A&E with severe abdominal pain - bloods were taken and he was sent home with pain killers! The next day again with severe abdominal pain, further weight loss, history of intermittent fever and nausea he was left waiting for 4 hours before even being assessed; he ended up having to come home as he was in so much discomfort. Finally, a third visit with persisitence further bloods were taken and he was referred to a specialist the next day - he now has lumps in his bowel. I hope that this is nothing serious as my husband has been in pain now for over 10 days with 3 visits to A&E; he is a father and a husband - why do stafff not listen to their patients anymore & surely if someone returns with the same symptoms this is an indicator that something is not quite right... what has happened to the NHS & good old fashioned health care!
