About: Whipps Cross University Hospital

Anything else?

This hospital is my local yet still I can't say anything good about it. And I'm not over reacting as I have visited this hospital on numerous occasions and at no point in time the service was good it s a absolutely disgrace . I even asked front line staff the name of the CEO they don't know. I have taken my son who was suffering from a testicular torsion when sent to the paeds dept the nurse took over an hr to triage I could understand if the dept was busy but not they sat and was chatting and having a good laugh, however upon seeing my son they said to me nothing is wrong with him They then called the SHO urologist on call explained to th SHO then told them nothing is wrong with the child I could hear the SHO telling them not to say that as when it comes to a boys testicles that's very serious. I was then seen and given advised by the Specialist Registar who advised it can twist but untwist on its own ect. I was also advised to return if my son gets pain again. Two days after he had the same symptoms and I returned this time a navigator referred my child to the out of hours GP after waiting over an hr I was called to their room their feet were on the side of the desk whilst he read the sun newspaper I ad to sit myself down and waited for them as they asked why did we come to A&E at this point there was no eye contact as their interest was taken up with the news paper. They then tod my son to lie on the bed I told them no as the paper ended changing they said hats not a part of their remit I had to tell them my child will not lie on a dirty bed as that's infection control. They said ok et the child stand up and I will examine him how disgraceful I was discharged with no advise. I could go on and on about this hospital. I even had to call in regards to PACS results and was told the radiologist on call had no login they were using another member of staff login details and it didn't give access I'm sure is is a breach in Information Governance. Best I stop but as a local hospital it is a disgrace to what is left of the nhs. No wonder why this hospital is about to close nd can't get foundation trust.
