What I liked

The staff were very pleasant and the room i was in was clean and the bathroom i used was very clean. The staff seemed very concerned about cleaniless.

What could be improved

I had to spend the night in the hospital and found that the level of noise during the night by the night staff was unaccpetable. I found it very difficult to sleep and I was in a side room with the door shut (and ear plugs in) so I cant imagine what it was like on one of the wards!! The staff talked and laughed loudly all night. I think that when someone is ill sleep is the best medicine and it was almost impossible to get any. The night staff had the opportunity to go home and catch up on their sleep but the patients do not. I dread the thought of spending another night in there. I felt jet lagged the next day. It was a bit like trying to sleep through a new years eve party!! Then at about 6 in the morning when I was drifting through a rare moment of sleep there was a change over of shift and what looked like a fairly senior member of staff stood outside my room chatting loudly to a person standing right next to them. I actually asked if they would mind being a bit quieter.

I really do hope you can do something about this, at least before I next have to spend a night there
