"Negative experience in the delivery and post-natal..."

Anything else?

I gave birth at Queen Elizabeth's Hospital on the 30th March 2013 and I found a congested and understaffed hospital. I think that this also caused, or at least contributed, to the problems I had during delivery, including drop of my baby heartbeat, the need to tie me to the monitor and, in the end, to use the ventouse. I also had a negative experience in the post-natal ward, where one of the midwives on duty at night was very brusque and cracked my nipples. Finally, the hospital gave the wrong contact details to the community midwives, so I risked to have the first checks delayed hadn't I contacted the midwives myself.

The hospital is clearly suffering from congestion and shortage of staff. Some of the staff should also be better mannered and aware of the importance of their role as midwives especially when they look after first time mums.
