Anything else?
Visited the infirmary with my wife to get her eyes checked for pressure and a general health check on the eyes. The nurse who attended to my wife was fairly new in post and seemed unfamiliar with the machine they were using. Also, they were in charge of a student nurse who was more caring with their patient than the nurse was and more patient oriantated. From arrival to departure took just over 2 1/4 hours for treatment that took little more than 15 minutes. Apparently we had to waite due to an emergency, this patient was also kept waiting because she had been forgotten about at one stage. This was supposed to be the cause of our delay. I suspect that the waiting time target for patients before they are seen is being tampered with as we were taken in to a treatment room fairly early on, asked a few questions and then sent back in to the waiting area then having to wait 1/ 1/2 hours for a test which took 10 minutes then to the waiting area for another 25 minutes and eventually to the person we had come to see for treatment.
