"Let down by a few staff"

My sister had a major procedure and for the first time looked well post-operatively, due to the excellent care of the surgical team, anaesthetic team and Ward staff.

Unfortunately left sick and in pain overnight, not given prescribed medication, drip not replaced, catheter not emptied, no assistance with personal care despite drains, drips, etc. Needed to call friends to help and relatives to address issues with Ward team.

A great shame that what was looking like a great success was undone by a few thoughtless staff members.

Generally not bad but need to do much better.
