"My experiences in South Crofty"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

Anything else?

I had hip revision in February, 2013. Because I had to be in "contrrolled isolation" for the week that I was in, waiting for culture results, unfortunately the room was in the men's ward, on South Crofty, so I had the pleasure of listeningf to their "schoolboy smut" until I walked out into the ward on my crutches. They all apologised! The staff were very kind, understanding and hard working, very helpful, and apart from having to wait until 12.30am for a sandwich on the night after my op (having not had anything since lunchtime the day before), I have no complaints. I found the hospital food excellent, a good variety and very tasty. And so nice not having to cook it or clear up afterwards. The hospital ward was kept clean daily and nothing seemed too much for the hardworked nurses. They all deserve a pat on the back.
