"A visit to the minor in jury's unit"

About: Victoria Hospital W'borne

Anything else?

I visited my GP on 9/5/13 due to an injury I had sustained on my right for 4wks prior. I explained to my GP I had left it this long as I thought it was bruising. She suggested I went to the minor injurys unit as she thought I may have fractured a bone.

I arrived at 12.50 ,the receptionist was very helpful and told me to go and wait in the waiting area.

At 13.20 both triage nurses left to have their lunch and completely ignored the fact I was there. I spoke to the receptionist and she called one of the nurses back. She clearly wasn't very happy in being called back. She was very abrupt and quite rude, after explaining ny problem she told me I had no right to go in and ask for an X-ray and because its an old injury they couldn't help me,I walked out at this point as I found her very unpleasant to deal with.

I have returned to my GP and I am waiting for some advice on what to do next as I still have a vy painful and swollen foot.
