About: National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery - Queen Square

Anything else?

should have had op to remove c4and5 feb 18th when they rang late the day before I was to go in to say no beds available and would I mind coming in on the day of op starved and at 7 am. That was fine and then I asked what time was my operation. They couldn't find it on the slots so they called me back to say I wasn't down and someone would get back to me. Lucky I had asked otherwise I would have wasted money on a cab to get there for 7am only to be turned around. Waited 3 days no one contacted me so called them and the PALS only to be called back to say no one knew about it and I felt I was treated in a very shoddy manner no apology or explanation. On March 20 someone rang to say they had slot for me to come in next day to have op on Saturday........on 21st someone rang to say op cancelled due to staff problems. Fair enough at least this time I was told. However we are now in May and no word. I thought by NHS rules that I had to be offered an operation within 28 days if cancelled at short notice. My pain is getting worse I cant , plan anything in advance. my arm is getting weaker and there seems no one to talk to. Hopefully when and if I ever get the op the actual hospital is run better.
