Anything else?
We just came back from a horrible experience from start to finish at LRI for my pregnant wife. Where shall I start from?
.: From start the care provided by the hospital was not up to the Mark, the baby scans were offered just twice until there's an issue which I don't agree with, It should be atleast once every 8 weeks to insure baby is growing fine and mother is well.
.: The co-operation between the Hospital and Surgery was horrible, tests were labelled incorrectly because of which my wife found out her gestational diabetes issue almost 2 months late which could have effected her health and could have jeoperdized babies life if size continued to grow.
.: Then when the labour actually commenced and we checked into the hospital the real set of issues continued to unravel. issues in the final days of delivery a complete denial that my wife was in labour as Midwife and Doctor was persistent that contractions were fast but irregular as my wife was induced. Till the last minute my wife was kept in the ward which resulted in birth in the ward itself. The Doctor appeared shocked so did the midwife as how can it happen and keeping them in the ward instead of taking her to delivery suite. A horrible horrible experience by various individuals, midwives, doctor and hospital staff who makes you feel worthless and unwelcomed. If anything had happened to my wife I would've sued the hospital and NHS.
.: Issues of dirty floors, unclean environment, cold rooms due to single glazed windows instead of double glazed, no incubators to maintain baby's temperate, blood pressue monitors from the 80's, thermometers from the 50's, dis-associated feeling from start to finish.
Just to let you know that our first baby was born at Leeds St James University Hospital which was a great experience, absolutely professional attitude by the staff, clean rooms, modern equipment and staff up to the mark.
