About: Northwick Park Hospital

Anything else?

I write this as a father, who bore witness to several mothers to be, including my wife, in an overcrowded, understaffed (patient:medic ratio - not beds:patient). In the maternity ward (not the birth center), my wife was not tended to for 8h during labor, not once, did a qualified midwife give the requested/begged pain relief. Nor was my baby checked. I had to physically grab a dr in the ward who was tending to another mother, they threatened to call security - but this is the life of my wife and child. Only after fighting for the treatment I'm supposed to get based on the midwifery and lesser govt. guidelines did they check and find that my baby was a breach and in distress. Only then did they act and perform an emergency C-section.

This was repeated for around 4 other mothers in the same room as my wife, 2 of those mothers are still in hospital 3 months on with further labor caused complications. If they were treated quicker and to the standard they are supposed to act upon. I am certain those mothers would be with their babies now!

Do not go here, for the sake of your babies, wives, partners, daughters, sisters ... Do not go here!

3 Months on I'm still awaiting answers, still waiting for my wifes medical records to begin formal complaint procedures, with the other patients/'customers'. 90 days on nothing, despite freedom of information act stating 40 days being the legal maximum.
