"Waiting times and delays are unacceptable"

About: University Hospital Of Hartlepool

Anything else?

In the out patients department to see the fracture clinic, on arrival found no receptionist and a delay of 30 mins that soon increased to 40 mins and so on. The delay was due to the fact one doctor had not yet turned up. I find it discussting that the doctors and staff have so little regard and respect for others that they seem to find it acceptable not to attend work when required. The nurse actually said to one person who needed to return to work that if they rescheduled the appointment the delay is likely to be the same the next day. Why book so many appointments if you cannot honour it. 1hen the staff finally turn u it only leads to a rushed appointment in a bid to catch up. The hospital needs to address this and make it work.
