This was my first experience of the TRAC system. My initiation was unexpected - a letter out of the blue, although I had been advised that a request for a consultation would be made by my surgery.

I was unclear, regarding the TRAC system, of purpose or scope. In my mind I thought that no system would afford same process of prioritisation, but it was not appreciated that there could be a choice of treatment centres, thereby regarding any opportunity for background research.

However, once in the loop treatment and service were satisfactory. Possibly a website giving more details and choice of appointment slots would benefit all concerned.

Dear Major766,

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments with us about using the TRAC service. Your GP will initiate any referrals for further advice from a consultant, a letter will be sent to you to let you know this action has been taken. The TRAC team are here to offer patients a choice of appointment location, date and time where possible.

I can only apologise that it was not clear from the documentation how you would be contacted and what the TRAC service is here for. I am glad to read that once you were contacted you were happy to be in the system.
