What I liked

I had to rush my partner to the eye hospital at 3 am one morning, i called them first to make sure that someone would be there to help him. Once we arrived there he got seen by the nurse straight away who after looking at his eye and numbed it then removed the piece of metal that had got in there straight away. Afterwards she thoroughly explained the aftercare needed to us, as well as advice on how to prevent it happening again. My partner (as most men are) is not a fan of doctors or hospitals he usually just puts up with feeling unwell or in pain, but this particular trip to the hospital regain his confidence in the NHS and we both were extremely happy with the speed, efficiency, care and knowledge that he was dealt with. If it hadn't been dealt with in such a manor my partner would now be blind, so we are both truly grateful to that nurse.

What could be improved

I heard that the eye hospital in Brighton may not be around for much longer and i find that unacceptable. Doctors and nurse in the main hospitals A & E department are not experience enough or do they have the time or speed to deal with patients with these problems. If it hadn't been for the sussex eye hospital and the wonderful nurse that we saw my partner would now be blind.
