"Is there anyone there !"

About: Bristol Royal Infirmary

Anything else?

I cant understand how a main hospital in Bristol, on a Friday afternoon has no one to answer the phones on the main switchboard number, or the admissions number.

I called admission 3 times each time letting the phone ring off after 4 min, total of 12 mins.

I did the same with the main number 4 times again a total of 16 mins, so 28 mins later i still do not know if my wifes operation went well, or weather she is staying in tonight or i am collecting her ?

I have 3 children asking how there mum is, great what do i say !

NHS i do support it, in irony my wife is a nurse, but this is just not good enough.

We are very sorry that you had problems in contacting our hospital - please be assured that there would have been staff available on the main numbers, although there may be some delay in answering calls during extremely busy periods. For informaiton, the main hospital switchboard number is (0117) 923 0000 and they can put you through to the wards.
