Anything else?
To the Staff of Ward 15
Milton Keynes Hospital
2nd April 2013
It is a few weeks since I was a patient in Ward 15 (25th February to 8th March) and this short note is long overdue.
I write to thank you for the excellent care and treatment I received whilst with you, being treated for pneumonia. My previous excursion into hospital, one whole day in the last 60 years, left me with no idea of the day to day running of a ward.
I was probably the “fittest” person on the ward as, by observation, everyone else had multiple problems, which did make one or two more difficult in their attitude towards the staff. May I commend you all for the patient and caring way you seemed to deal with each one. Well done!!
My thanks also go to the consultants who kept me well informed of what was happening from day to day. Not that I would want any further hospitalisation, but I have to say it was not the worst experience in my life.
Also, whoever said that hospital food was an experience to be missed? Once I got back into eating, (one week into my stay), I found the meals had variety and were very palatable.
Milton Keynes Hospital comes in for its fare share of criticism at times, but not from me. Thank you again for all your care.
Roger A Clarke.
