What I liked
in general the staff were friendly and mostly helpful. the ward i stayed in was kept clean.
What could be improved
i had to know if i would need to stay in the hospital because i had animals at home that needed caring for. i also had to collect suitable attire to stay in the hospital. i asked repeatedly if i would have to stay and was told that nobody knew at that point.
it got to a point where i had to leave to make sure things at home were ok, only to find that relatives had been told i would be kept in for a few days and yet no staff members had bothered to inform me, even though i had repeatedly expressed concern about my pets and lack of hospital wear. I was allowed to sign myself out even though I wasn't ready to leave and still had treatment to go through, which i never received and am now back at the point at which i started. is it always the government wasting NHS funds?
