I am a 69 year old man and have had painful feet for many years and they have gradually got worse which causes me great distress and I cannot walk very far because of the crippling pain.
My GP sent a referral to Clacton Hospital Podiatry Unit for them to treat me but the hospital turned down the referral without even seeing my feet.
I phoned the Podiatry Unit and a lady said because I do not fit the criteria and their guidelines they would not see me, despite me describing to her how much pain and discomfort I was in on a daily basis.
This leaves me without treatment for my feet and in a great deal of stress and suffering.
