"Visit to Kent & Canterbury Hospital's Minor..."

About: Kent & Canterbury Hospital

Anything else?

I hurt my left leg quite badly on Sunday afternoon and paid a visit to K & C minor injuries unit early on Monday morning.

Within just a few minutes of arriving the charge nurse had come out to say hello and to get a brief understanding of what I'd done - he promised I'd be seen very soon. Within just a few minutes I was called through and he inspected my leg in detail. He explained exactly what he was going to do and why and at every point was incredibly calm and polite and made sure I understood everything.

I was given a tetanus injection, antibiotics (the actual drugs not a prescription) and a number of advice cards for use at home in relation to my injury.

In a news hungry world where all we seem to hear about are the bad news stories, I wanted to just take a few minutes to say well done and thank you to the nurse in particular, but to all the staff involved in my care on Monday.

Thank you so much for providing us with great feedback about our minor injuries service. I will make sure that staff are aware and I am sure they will be pleased to hear from another satisfied customer. We agree that it is important for us to celebrate good news and especially when staff have worked hard to provide a safe and effective service with care and compassion.

Thank you again for taking the time to provide us with feedback. Hope you are fully recovered from your injury.
