I had bypass surgery at this wonderful Hospital, the Surgical Team and Nursing Care with Physio are fantastic, they listen explain and help you through which can be a very difficult and emotional time, the general staff are very good and also helpful, the only thing I would like is that for one of the Consultants could see a patient say on a annual basis just to check that all is in order, I would be more confident with their check ups rather than seeing a cardioligist who is not familiar with me as an individual. At this Hospital you are treated with the greatest respect and as a known individual. So very many thanks to you all for keeping me alive!

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your positive experience at the Heart Hospital. With regard to annual check ups, patients are usually followed-up six weeks after surgery, where it is made clear that you can contact your consultant at any time should you feel the need to be seen again, and an appointment will be arranged as soon as possible. As your primary provider your GP can arrange for subsequent re-referral if he/she feels there is a clinical need for you to be seen after twelve months.
