"Trying to get through to Diabetic team"

About: Vale of Leven General Hospital / General Medicine (Lomond Ward)

(as the patient),

Since Monday I have been telephoning the Diabetic Nursing team at my Local Hospital but no one seems to be returning calls. The answering services system in their office is diverting calls to call the RAH in Paisley but they dont seem to be taking calls. There is a lot of miscommunication when nurses are not availabe to take calls when the answering service is not changed

They also tell you to consult NHS 24 or GP but they then say you need to seek advice from the DSN who deal with your treatment

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to provide your feedback.

I will ensure that this is passed on to those involved in the management of the Diabetic Service at the Vale of Leven Hospital to ensure they are aware of the difficulties you experienced.

I am sorry that this posting was not acknowledged at the time, we had a break in our use of Patient Opinion, but we have now resumed doing so, and I thought it was still important to acknowledge your posting and where appropriate to pass comments on.

Once again, thank you for using the Patient Opinion feedback system, it is greatly appreciated.
