My Mother went in for x-rays recently. The radiographer was very curt and gave the impression they could not wait to leave for the day.

The radiographer did not seem to want to listen to anything my Mother was trying to say, just kept asking her to straighten her legs, which is almost impossible for her to do as she suffers greatly with painful knees and back.

The radiographer then manipulated my Mother's legs herself, obviously causing more pain.

All in all not a good experience and one which hopefully no-one else will have to go through.

I sincerely hope this radiographer receives some re-training on how to deal correctly with patients or finds a job more suited to their character.

I am so sorry your mother had this experience which clearly is not the standard we expect for our patients. We would welcome the opportunity to follow this up on your behalf and speak with the member of staff involved so that lessons can be learnt and steps put in place to ensure it does not happen again.
