Anything else?
I was diagnosed with colon cancer in late March and admitted to ward A14 for surgery in early April. I found the treatment by all staff to be caring, kind and compassionate despite the fact that at times there was an obvious shortage of staff, particularly at night. The surgeon that treated me was in my opinion exceptional and was always ready to provide information on my treatment and recovery. The facilities on the ward were adequate but are definitely getting a bit tired and some investment in the near future will be required if the current good standards are to be maintained. Finally I should say that New Cross is not the nearest hospital to where I live but I chose to go there from limited previous experience. The best decision I have made in a long time.
"Excellent Care in Ward A14"
