"Sudden onset appendicitis"

Went to A&E with stomach pains, very quickly diagnosed with appendicitis, given an ultrasound and a CT scan and then operated on the next day. All the staff (i was in A&E and then the Surgical Assesment Unit) are efficient, friendly, helpful, caring and give the impression that they actually enjoy their job and are happy to be there. The place is clean and the food is actually pleasant, which was the biggest surprise. I was kept informed every step of the way about what was happening and why.

A horrible, painful, scary weekend was made a million times less awful by this smashing hospital and its wonderful staff.
