My husband was sent there from Stafford General, where conditions are barely average, and Cannock Chase is infinitely worse. The food is trucked in from SG, the ward he is on has nothing but aged, senile patients, and the doors are locked at night. The nurses are dour and po faced, and there are no shops in the facility, meaning no food that is edible. I understand why people go private, I only wish I had the means.
