Anything else?
Was kept in twice at the end of last year and was treated well in casualty and obs unit, was then moved to A1/A3 and the level of cleanliness, service and care was shocking a tyrant of a nurse who everyone seemed to be terrified of ruled the roost . 2 doctors with a very poor command of English came to see me and had someone else s notes and because of the language problem it took a while for them to understand what i was saying, If i wasn't so ill it would have been hilarious.
I asked them to let me go and response was stay and have a lovely lunch, I had hardly eaten anything or 3 weeks at this point!. On the second occasion I was sent straight in by my GP to be operated on, and was eventually seen by a Dr about 6 hours later who informed me I had a infected gall bladder and wanted to put me on drip, I asked for tablets instead so I could go home and he told me in no uncertain terms that I would not be seen again for 6 months if I didnt do as he said. In the end I went privately and had the operation done 2 days later without any stress. Roll forward 4 months and this is the bit which really riles me, I have now received 6 ultrasound appointments 3 surgeon appointments when they have been informed by both myself and my GP that I have had the op and is signed off on the system, Stepping Hill was once a very good hospital but from my recent experiences chaos now reigns
