We had our little girl there in April of this year. The staff and support during the pregnancy, birth and afterwards was fantastic and we cannot rate it highly enough. We had some concerns during the pregnancy and when we rang for advice they were always friendly and supportive. The birth itself was a wonderful experience and the care received during the labour and afterwards was incredible. We decided to stay in for a night to get some extra support with breast feeding as we were struggling slightly, all of the midwives and maternity support workers were brilliant at helping us. We had some issues after we left Penrice (again with breastfeeding) and again, we received so much support both through the breastfeeding clinic and on a one-to-one basis with various midwives. We would have struggled so much without that support. We are incredibly grateful to all of the staff at the Birth Centre for making what was a wonderful time in our lives even more so. We will definitely be going back for any future pregnancies.
