My Gp sent me to A&E with bloody vomit and pain.

The admissions clerk just ignored me standing in front of her until I spoke up.

Then when the nurse was evaluating my condition taking my bp and asking me questions she didnt listen to what I was telling her so had to repeat myself twice in explaining my symptoms even tho she had my file with letter from my GP.

Why doesn't A&E have the GP SystemOne? Utterly crazy the time when you most need an emergency Dr you cant see any history/notes?

I was then marched around the corner into a bay with one other person also waiting to see a Dr. Was told that someone will come and put me on a trolley....never happened...no handover at all between the admission nurse and A&E nurse. 1 hour later having sat there waiting quietly a nurse called my name and took my blood.

When a Dr finally showed he told me (before seeing my blood results or examining me) that I 'looked' fine and I would not be staying in for investigation. When I questioned this and told him my GP had sent me he begrudgingly examined me and went to get a nurse for a rectal exam.

He told me after this that I should go back to my GP if I was worried or if I carried on vomitting blood to go back to A&E and discharged me. Really? Fuming mad at being fobbed off and bounced backwards and forwards when I am really sick. Shody, unprofessional, uncaring, upsetting I felt like I was in a third world hospital!
