About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Gateshead)

Anything else?

I was refered to A & E by my doctor for a suspected ectopic pregnancy, I went in quite quickly and had my bloods taken when they figured the pain I was in wasnt this they just said ok go home and we will send you a scan date. I have waited 3 weeks and still in pain rang round 4 departments so far to be told they cant find any scan appointment or the gyno's notes as she may of taken them with her they are not sure. Now I am still in pain, have no idea what it is and the QE dont know what they are doing as nobody communicates with each other least of all their patients but who cares its only my health right.

We're sorry to hear that you've been disappointed by your treatment at the QE. If you are in pain we would urge you to make an appointment at your GPs to seek assistance. If you'd like us to look into the treatment you received here further, then you can contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 0800 953 0667 or pals@ghnt.nhs.uk
