What I liked

Over the last 2 yrs my wife, daughter and myself have had occasion to use the JR hospital.

I wanted to say that the care we all received has been of the highest standard.

The most important factor in attending any hospital is, of course, the medical treatment and on that score I cannot speak too highly of all the medical staff with whom we came in contact. From the ward assistants to the consultants, the standard of treatment and care we received was of the highest calibre, delivered with unfailing courtesy and the highest standards of skill.

I find the current denigration of the NHS in our national press hard to reconcile with my personal experience of the JR and its sister hospital the Churchill.

The facilities are now first rate and create a very favourable impression on entering the hospital grounds and buildings. All the area I visited seemed to be bright ,clean and well cared for.

What could be improved

The car parking is still a little expensive and at certain times of the day very hard to find a vacant space.
