"Staff breaks"

We waited with a head injury for an hour and 20 mins to be triaged by the nurse and then waited a further 4 hours to see a doctor , so all in all we were in accident and emergency for 6 hours ! The triage nurse was not at all helpful or informative , and when we eventually saw a dr , he could barely string a sentence together and when we asked questions , he didn't like that particularly if it disagreed with him! All in all an extremely disappointing experience! Frankly we were astounded at how many cigarette breaks the staff kept having and outside the building , we repeatedly saw the same staff continually going outside to smoke . Very definitively the staff are not over worked especially in view of all the breaks . The entire process requires an overhaul , not a effective or efficient service by any measure , the experience was shared by several members of the public who also had disappointing experiences the same night .
