"day case unit"

About: Tameside General Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I went in tameside in early december 2012 for a gall bladder removal was still there 3 weeks later when they said I had gall stones in the liver duct so had the procedure done. The wound started bleeding, told the doctors and the nurse they said it was normal. 4 days later, Christmas day, I collapsed and rushed to intensive care where they had to give me blood transfusion as I had lost so much blood.

I am now at home with a dead foot and leg mmmmm.

I would just like to say intensive care unit was brilliant, but I would not go on day case ever again.
