I was taken to a&e by amb after suffering acute onset of pains in my head. Obviously I was very frightened the paramedic rapid response was amazing however I had to wait half an hour for amb to arrive which also held up the other paramedic whom had to stay with me I wish to add the care and treatment I received from both paramedics was fantastic however attending a&e was another story. The nursing staff was very busy as always but very efficient I was seen straight away cannulated and bloods taken that was it for a few hours naturally still very frightened as I thought something was seriously wrong as the symptoms experienced was excruciating and debilitating I was eventually seen by I think a first year doc whom was very nice but was told I would nd further ECG possible scan however once blood results were back I was told I could go home no diagnosis also I took the canula out myself at home following few weeks I could not move my neck headaches continued so I eventually whent to see gp and was told it may have been an episode of acute hypertension the point I wish to make is that not to tick the little boxes but to look and treat the person holistically and possible improvement within assessment and not be to much task orientated .
