"Cancellations of operations !"

About: Royal Preston Hospital

Anything else?

I had my operation cancelled on 14th Feb 2013 and was told they had no beds, I was also told that I wouldn't be waiting months for another operation date and that I would be sorted within weeks. 2 months down the line I have had no word or letter from anyone to keep me informed of this long cancellation delay whatsoever, this is ridiculous and needs sorting out. The operations that are cancelled should be done first before other operations are booked, and we should be kept informed of the situation so that we don't feel like we have been forgotten! Totally mad.

Thank you for providing feedback about the care and treatment we provide. The hospital has been exceptionally busy in recent months which has resulted in a number of procedures being postponed. We appreciate this causes inconvenience and concern and aim to reschedule procedures as soon as possible. We would expect that you should have been kept informed of progress but this hasn't happened in this case - please do contact our PALS team regards rescheduling your procedure 01772 522972.
