"A stessful time consuming process trying to get an appointment"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a carer),

I found the service was a total nightmare from start to finish. The doctor made the appointment with TRAQS promptly, but I had to phone TRAQS when over two weeks had passed without hearing anything.

TRAQS said that Specsavers at Wellington would contact us with an appointment as details had been passed on

I rang Specsavers at Wellington to try and get information but they didn't know anything. Then I spoke to Specsavers in Shrewsbury as I had been told that they might have details. They didn't know anything either!

They did however give me Specsavers HQ number, which I duly rang, I was told the date and time if my appointment.

This has been a frustrating, stressful, time consuming process. My mother has alzheimers and as her carer everything that need doing has to be sorted by myself.

I really don't think that it should be my job to telephone numerous places in order to eventually find out about an appointment.
