"Maternity Department (Level 6 & 7)"

About: John Radcliffe Hospital

Anything else?

I cannot praise enough the care, respect and dignity afforded my husband and I when a 5 month scan flagged up serious illness in our foetus. The nurses/midwives of levels 6&7 & consultants were beyond amazing. We were fully advised of our options but never pressurised into making a desicion, we were looked after with care and sensitivity, offered every support and though when we had to go through the terrible experience of a termination the midwives of Level 7 were extremely busy they still made sure to keep checking in on us & apologising when they had been away for a while.

Going back this year after being able to become pregnant again was traumatic, but again we were treated with sensitivity and dignity, with the sonographers, knowing our history, going the extra length to reassure us and make sure we were ok. We will be forever grateful to the ladies of Level 6 & 7, the Consultant and the other doctors who looked after us. I wish I could remember specific names of the nurses/midwives but it's all a bit of a blur, but thank you so much to them.

We are so grateful to you for taking the time to post your comments about the care you received at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

We are delighted that you feel you were treated with respect and dignity, and we have passed these comments on to the senior management of Women’s Services, who have now shared them with all the staff involved.
