I underwent an arthroscopy of my knee under general anaesthetic yesterday planned as a day case, from my very first contact with the hospital the care and efficiency has been fantastic. The pre-op appointment was thorough and ensured my admission ran smoothly. The admission process was calm and very timely being seen promptly by staff and in theatre only 90 mins after arriving in the hospital.

I suffered some problems with my blood pressure after the surgery and the staff showed professionalism, kindness and compassion throughout my rather longer than expected stay in recovery. Nothing was too much trouble, they contacted my family to update them and attended to all my needs with care and dignity.

As I wasn't well enough to go home that evening I was transferred to a beautiful clean and spacious private room where I was able to spend the night recovering. The room was equipped with a tv, phone and ensuite and the bed was very comfortable.

All of the medical and nursing staff kept me informed of my treatment at every stage.

This hospital really is a great example of how wonderful our NHS can be.
