Anything else?
I had an asthma attack for the first time last night, which was terrifying. I rang 111, who booked me an appointment in two hours with the out of hours service at st George's. I was seen within five minutes of arriving, receptionist was lovely and my doctor was great. Really took the time to reassure and explain my condition. My previous experience of needing urgent care in london has been going to a&e and waiting for hours to be seen. Much, much better experience - if this is the result of NHS reforms, then I am very impressed.. My only area for improvement would be the attitude of staff on reception at a&e itself - they are obviously busy but they were rude and short with people, which I thought was a shame.
"Fantastic out of hours service"
