"My sister lack of care and continual bed moves within the RAH Paisley"

My sister was admitted on an emergency basis to the RAH after the family phoned an ambulance. She had been treated with pain killers for four weeks by her GP. My sister herself requested they take blood tests.

When she was in Ward 10 a medical ward, we highlighted to staff in the evening how confused she was and agitated. She was put to bed with no cot sides up tried to get up and fell.

The family are constantly having to chase up doctors for feedback on her condition. She appears to be moved regularly from one ward to another and the basic care needs by nursing staff seems shocking in some wards.

My sister was moved again while I was there. She was moved to ward 11 and into her own room, which settled her emotionally. There was no indication that she was being moved any time soon. I phoned my sister and she was moved out into the main ward during the night with little explanation.

The whole hospital experience has been a catalogue of errors since the start.

I don't think this has anything to do with NHS and money and see this as a basic lack of communication between staff and consistent lack of compassion from nursing staff we've come into contact with. I have been totally shocked by it all.

I am sorry that your sister appears to have been moved around so much. You should at the very least have been provided with explanations and kept up to date.
