"Hospital Food."

Recently I have just spent almost three weeks in ward 11.

I feel that it is only right and fair that I write in order to congratulate the kitchen staff but mainly the people in charge of the menu control. The food portions and choice were more than enough. As to the quality and standard, I find it very difficult in finding fault.

The staff setting the menu, given the budget and portion constraints per patient do a fantastic job.

So hearty thank you to all.

I am sorry to hear that you have had a lengthy spell in hospital but hope you are now feeling very much better. It was really good of you to take the time to feed-back to us via Patient Opinion. We know that it is very important that we get both our clinical care right as well a delivering a really positive experience of care. One really important element is getting our menus right. I am really pleased that you were happy with the standards. We are also striving to do more and more to raise the profile of all the different professional groups of staff who work in NHS Highland. They all have a part to play and everyone doing their bit well makes a difference to patients, including our catering staff. They work very closely with our senior nurses and dieticians.

We share every bit of feed-back we get (good or bad) with the staff because we are always keen to learn and improve. They will be delighted to receive your warm words of encouragement. Thank you.
