Anything else?
I recently visited Accident and Emergency Department with hope for decent treatment for my issue. Unfortunately the firt impression of speaking with lady on the reception and transfer form through the gap between glass left very strange and unfriendly feelings. My session with a nurse I had been told very poor advices on my symptoms. I came with swollen fingers with no other symptoms, and nurse adviced me to hold my hands up to let fluid flow down, I had been even told to buy gloves, in terms of bed weather. After further consulting my problems my urine was tested and antibiotic has been prescribed. I had been told to see my GP for a blood test with the diagnosis of kidney´s infection.
As a person in temporary living I couldn´t find any GP who would be willing to do my blood test, so I was advised to go back to Accident and Emergency Department and ask to be seen once more and properly, with full explanation of my issue.
The lady on the reception told me, that none can help me, because I basically didnt have any obvious symptoms and personal in this department was not allowed to check my blood or do any other examination. After my insistance and reminding , that there was really none who was able to do further examination for me the lady on reception lady on the reception referred me to "walk in centre" in Edmonton.
This "walk in centre" was closed on December last year. The stuff of this centre assured me, that Accident and Emergency Department is fully aware of the closure.
I found it as very unprofessional and unethical.
