I was admitted to Ansty Ward by my GP for recurrent head pain. I was extremely nervous as I had witnessed a bad experience with my father at another local hospital but my visit to Poole couldnt have been more different. The staff were wonderfully caring and efficient. As a consequence the ward and patients were calm and relaxed, not easy to achieve on a Medical Admissions Unit. There was a designated senior nurse for each bay of 6 patients who was personally introduced to us all at the beginning of each shift. She continually checked on each of us and was always there with a friendly smile, thank you! Doctor was also a little gem, even phoning me at home the next day to see how I was and giving me test results.
If ever you are unfortunate to need hospital treatment then please go to Poole, they really are super!
"Thank you Ansty"
