"Care in Nuclear Medicine Department "

About: Leeds General Infirmary / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I had 2 cardiac scans on consecutive dayside at the LGI nuclear medicine dpartment this week. I was quite scared especially about the second one as several people had told me it could be horrible. The staff were great, on both occasions, explaining things really well, reassuring me, and treating me with real kindness. Promptly seen, and not rushed after when I felt a little iffy.

The only downsides were that 1) the info by letter was not quite accurate, and some of my anxiety could have been allayed if it had been 2) the tv in waiting area is intended to help pass the time as there is a bit of waiting involved between different stages of the tests but mindless daytime tv is pretty irritating and a nice music channel might be more soothing!

Dear Celticchickadee

The Patient Experience Team at LTHT would like to thank you for taking the time to place these comments. They have been forwarded to the team involved.

It is always good to hear what patients think about their experiences so we can feed them back to the services concerned.

Thank you again for posting these comments
