Anything else?
I was admitted to the ward in the early hours and was greeted warmly by nursing staff on duty. The 6 bedded bay i was admitted into was then fully occupied. It was quiet, all patients resting and I was allowed dignity and privacy to undress. The staff were very pleasant anfd approachable. I slept well despite some pain.
I witnessed friendliness, kindness, care and compassion from all nursing staff during my very short stay.
The standards of care are, in my opinion, very high and all patients appeared to be very settled, well looked after and happy.
There were elderly ladies in the bay who were very dependent on nursing staff and appeared to recieve excellent holistic care and treatment.
As a nurse myself, this is my first experience as an inpatient and, I have to admit I was rather daunted at the prospect given recent media coverage of hospital care.
I cannot fault this ward and would like to congratulate all staff for their work..
Lastly a mention of the gentleman who brings the shop trolley in the morning. What a delight. A cheerful chap who brings some help, enertainment and laughter to patients.....thank you
"Thank you to nursing staff ward 14"
