"Good and bad"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital

Anything else?

Too be honest when I arrived the reception staff were very nice to me and the waiting time for assessment was good as well , the assessment guy was really really friendly and put me at ease.

One thing that I was appalled at is from the moment I got there until I left (keeping in mind I was there from 3.10pm until 5.30pm) there was a drinks beverage been spilt on the floor near the chairs and not once did I see someone come to clean it up!

The thing that made me anxious and very annoyed was the fact that the nurse who shouted me in was very judgmental and very arrogant and I did not like the way she spoke to me thankfully I wasn't in with her that long as she was sending me for an x-ray of my hand

I thought that nurses were to be trained to be non judgmental and to deal with situation in a calm way not this nurse obviously I don't know how they get the jobs sometimes

So then I was getting worked up while waiting for an x-ray and I ended up getting a tight chest caused by stress thankfully my mate who was with me calmed me down

The guy in x-ray was extremely friendly and put me at ease straight away so its compliments to the guy in assessment and the guy in x-ray

So like I say good and bad

It does sound as if you have had a very mixed experience and it goes to show that the way staff are with patients can make a real difference. We will pass your comments on to the departments concerned. Thank you.
